Dining Options

There are several places to dine at the Royal Sonesta. If you need a quick bite, there’s PJ’s Coffee Cafe which serves specialty coffee drinks brewed with New Orleanians’ favorite locally roasted coffee and light breakfast and lunch fare.

For heartier fare and adult libations, there are several options: Restaurant R’evolution, Bar R’evolution, Desire Oyster Bar, The Jazz Playhouse, and Le Booze.
The Rooms at Royal Sonesta

The 483 guestrooms have recently been renovated and are spacious and clean. In-room amenities include complimentary wifi and dual-line telephone.

Safes that are large enough for a laptop are another amenity at the hotel.

The rooms also have flat-screen TVs.

You won’t find small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, or body wash in the bathroom because the bathroom has large dispensers filled with Italian-made toiletries for your use.

When you go out to dine in the country’s best culinary destination and find that you have more than you can eat, you can bring the leftovers back to your room and place them in the refrigerator for later.

Guests will want to head to the third floor to check out the gorgeous outdoor pool for some respite. I took the photo below early one morning before guests went out to swim. Most of the time, you will spot a lot of beautiful people there soaking up the Louisiana sun.

The swimming pool is open daily from 7:00 AM until sundown (in season). The Oasis Pool Bar is open from 11:30 AM until sundown (in season).
Swim at your own risk – the pool does not have a lifeguard. Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

I love this hotel. We have stayed there several times and have booked two stays there this summer. It is excellent in every way.
