Embassy Suites Downtown Nashville – SoBro Location

One of the great things about living within a few hours of Nashville is that in less than three hours, you can go from your front door to a city buzzing with live music, incredible food, and endless things to see and do. It’s the kind of trip that feels spontaneous but still delivers all the energy and charm you’d expect from Music City.

We stayed at Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville Downtown (SoBro) because of its location near Broadway – “The” street where everything happens. I booked using credit card points (my favorite travel hack), and the hotel’s combination of roomy suites, included breakfast, and easy access to Broadway made it an ideal home base.

SoBro Location

SoBro = South of Broadway, a prime spot for exploring downtown without staying on Broadway.

From our upgraded room (#1904), we could see Bridgestone Arena, Broadway, and the Cumberland River bridge — a nice reminder we were practically smack in the middle of it all.

Rooms

We booked a king suite and got bumped to a two-queen room with city views. The room had:

  • Separate living area with sectional sofa and second TV
  • Mini fridge and microwave
  • In-room safe
  • Clothes steamer (bonus for the wrinkle-prone)

Plenty of space to spread out, which is especially nice if you’re spending more time indoors between outings.

Amenities

Breakfast Buffet + Omelet Station

Included with your stay and served on the 4th floor. A solid mix of hot and cold options with made-to-order eggs.

Evening Reception

Two complimentary adult beverages per guest plus light snacks — great for winding down or pre-gaming before heading out.

Platter of three types of cheese, strawberries, blueberries, and grapes.

Pool & Fitness Center

  • Indoor pool on the 30th floor (yes, the view is worth it — the water was on the cooler side but refreshing).
  • Fitness center on the 4th floor with a decent selection of machines and weights.

Parking

Valet-only unless you park off-site and walk. Current rate: $65/night plus tip. One good thing about using valet parking is that you have in-and-out privileges.

Our Experience

Jeff’s knee was giving him trouble, so our plan to walk everywhere shifted to a mix of short walks and quick Uber rides. (Because the hotel is near Broadway, the Uber rides were really affordable and a “No Brainer.”) We were able to get to Prince’s Hot Chicken, Puckett’s (a Nashville staple), and multiple honky tonks without hassle.

The staff was friendly, our room was clean, and housekeeping had stocked plenty of toiletries. The shower had strong water pressure and actual hot water (a travel rarity worth noting).

Pros of Staying at Embassy Suites in Downtown Nashville

  • Prime SoBro location
  • Spacious suites with a separate living area
  • Included breakfast + evening drinks
  • 30th-floor indoor pool with views

Insider Tips

  • Request a city-view room — the skyline at night is worth it.
  • Use Uber or Lyft for anything more than a few blocks, especially if you’re wearing less-than-practical shoes (or nursing a cranky knee).
  • If you want to be even closer to Assembly Food Hall and Ryman, consider Renaissance Nashville for your next trip — but Embassy Suites still holds its own.

Overall

Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville Downtown (SoBro) delivers comfort, space, and thoughtful perks in a location that makes exploring easy. Our suite offered plenty of room to spread out, while the breakfast buffet and evening reception added real value to our stay.

The 30th-floor pool—comfortably cool and boasting fantastic skyline views—was a highlight. Yes, valet parking is on the pricey side, but the ability to walk (or take a quick Uber) to Broadway, the Ryman Auditorium, and Assembly Food Hall more than made up for it.

If you’re looking for roomy suites, breakfast without effort, and a pool with a view, this hotel is a solid choice for a Nashville getaway.
